Hello
A friend of mine showed up this morning and proceeded to tell me how he and his mother had spent the morning hanging an antique clock on the kitchen wall. He had other things that he thought he should be doing, like getting his new business going or finding a job, but he choose to spend the time with his mother, doing a bit of decorating in her new house. He described how great this was and how much fun they had. He was very passionate about the whole process, but as soon as the word work came up his eyes dulled over. He said he would rather be doing this kind of stuff all the time and that getting a job would limit his freedom.

This got me thinking, the little things add up in life, but they are often overlooked. I notice this when I am trying to avoid doing the big things in my life, the things that make the money, that are required of me if I want to enjoy the standard of living that I have. I really like doing the little things in life and the reason is that within a short space of time, I can meet some pretty basic needs. I usually accomplish something and have a purpose that after a couple of hours I can say to myself, look what I have done. It feels good and I can tick it off my list of things to do.

Hello
You can achieve your goals! Here are four tips to help you set your goals, plan to reach them, and succeed.

1) Start small and focused.

Don’t set 100 goals for yourself or you’ll get overwhelmed first. Choose just a couple. Once you’ve accomplished those or made them a habit, then set more.

2) Know your motivations.

When you list your goals, beside each one, list the reasons you want to achieve the goal and why it matters. Think about what your life will be like, or how your business will change, as you accomplish those goals.

3) Make a plan.

First, note what steps are required to reach your goal and break it down into a checklist of smaller steps you need to take to complete the big goal. Second, schedule your goals in. Use a planner or calendar to stay on top of what you need to be doing. For daily goals, I try to get the most important things done in the morning so they’re finished and before the day gets crazy and things start to come up.

Hello
1. The strengths of a company. This forms the most powerful element of business goal setting, and doesn't everyone want to talk about the strengths of their company? Recognize your strengths and the potential of your company. Do not at the same time be over confident. Set realistic goals, and take the strengths into account. The strengths should firstly be powerful enough to overcome the company's weaknesses.

2. Weaknesses - considering a company's weaknesses is as important as considering its strengths, if not more. And this goes all the more when you are setting business goals. Consider the weaknesses that may be hurdles in accompanying these goals, and set realistic targets keeping these weaknesses in mind. Make sure you goals are not so far fetched that it causes harmful stress to everyone involved in achieving them. Remember that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, so make sure those weak links are not stressed to break point.

3. Make the most of opportunities that come your way. Opportunity is that aspect of your business that you may not be totally in control over. Do try and set your business goals and strategies keeping the current opportunities that you see, as short term goals. Opportunities do not knock every day, and it is an utter waste to let one pass you by.

4. Threats to the company - It is also very difficult to assess the threats to your company, because this is another aspect that you cannot control. Moreover, you may not have sufficient information to make a clear assessment of the threats. So, when you make your business plan and set goals, leave some slack for threats that may suddenly crop up without the slightest warning.

Hello
So realistically, the best route is to set large goals to envision your ultimate success, but also set smaller milestones towards each goal. With the achievement of each milestone, you feel that you have scored a “win”, and that can propel you towards the next milestone.

Have you noticed the reactions of the athletes during the medals ceremonies? Often, Olympic medals are won by a fraction of a second or a millimeter of ground space. Of course the gold medal winner is ecstatic. He or she is now considered the best in the world in that particular sport. But often, the bronze medal winner is just as happy. Usually, that is because since there are only three medals, just making it to the medals platform is an accomplishment. But the silver medal winner often is the most dejected. First place: “I’m the best in the world!” Third place: “I actually made it to the platform!” Second place: “Uh,…I uh,…” The first and third place medal winners have achieved their goal. Not so much for the second place winner.
As you think about your goals for the second quarter of the year, make sure to count any and all “1st” and “3rd” place wins you had achieved the first quarter of the calendar year. Analyze any “2nd” place wins you had. All wins are important and have lessons to learn. What milestones will get you “to the platform”? What achievements will move you ahead from second place to first?

Check your financial records on your small business accounting software, and re-visit your goals and your business plan. Make any adjustments necessary, and work hard for 1st or 3rd place by the end of the second quarter. High goals are important and motivational. But reaching the smaller goals along the way makes it easier to win that big goal. It can be you and your business on the medal stand of your industry!

Hello friends

In previous articles I have highlighted the benefits of goal setting. I have talked about the things that are holding you back and I explained why we need to get discontent with the status quo. Now it's time to actually sit down and write it down.Where do you start and how? If you have had no problem doing this - good for you! But I know that some people reading this are here because they really want to, but they just don't know WHERE to begin. In actual fact, I think that if you are one of the people reading this - you are struggling with exactly that.

Thanks

Hi guys

I ran in a race over the weekend and re-learned a valuable lesson. During the middle of the run, I turned a corner and faced a long stretch — the kind that doesn’t seem to end. When I started the race, the thought of crossing the finish line motivated me. But when I was half-way through, out of breath and out of energy, visualizing the finish line didn’t provide me with any “umph.”

Thanks for all guys
