Default Healing Diet questions

I have already incorporated the healing diet somewhat into my diet and plan on starting it completely 3 weeks prior to my surgery. I have printed out the diet along with recipes, and have a few questions.

1. I loooove cheese but I didn't see it on the list. Can I incorporate it into the diet, or is this not reccommended? I wouldn't be replacing anything with it, just using it to make my dishes yummier Also, if I can use it, are there certain ones that are better than others?

2. Other than the recipes that come with the healing diet, does anyone have any that they came up with? I love to cook and love to eat good food (who doesn't!), so any reccommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

These are questions I have asked myself. There are so many "diets" out there and it can be confusing. The healing diet is for people with these five factors:

1. High Triglycerides/Cholesterol
2. High Blood Pressure
3. Elevated Glucose/Insulin/Leptin
4. Neurotoxicity
5. Protein/Fat Genetic Type

This eating plan is designed to help your body heal itself, hence, the title. Of course there are many factors involved in that process. I'll talk about those in other posts.

Since you're in this "healing" phase, I think it's more advisable if you stick to the original recipe. When you're completely healed and you still want to eat those food in your healing diet, then you can add anything you like that would make it taste better.

You should ask the one who gave you list and the diet recipes about that, especially if you are scheduled to undergo surgery. The diet was given to you for a purpose related to your upcoming surgery wasn't it.
