Smile Lavender Oil

Recently, I bought a lavender oil pen from Avon that is supposed to improve your cuticles. Well, just for fun, i put the oil on my nails to see how it would look. Once it dried, it gave the nails a natural shine that looks good. Normally, I paint my nails with clear nail polish to keep them looking nice because with out it they look dry and rough. But the oil really seemed to help. Does anyone know if there are other oils that are also good for nails? I have a small bottle of tea tree oil at home that says it can be used on nails, but I've never tried it.

Natural nail care product with tea tree oil keep nails clear & also for toenail and fingernail health. This oil has excellent supportive properties for the skin and helps to maintain nail health and integrity. You can also try Clove oil. It is considered an excellent tonic for the skin and nails.

Vitamin E oil is the best one you can use on your cuticles and nails, as it contains nutriments that give keep your nails strong and cuticles smooth.

I actually have some liquid tea tree oil at home. I wonder if I can apply it directly to the nail or cuticle?

Hello
Pruning

1. Learn to prune lavender the correct way. Cut back the green growth to within a few inches of the woody growth. Remove all the dead leaf matter, along with any stringy twigs and any other plant clutter.
2. Wait for the new growth to appear. Do not overwater. Lavender should be grown in direct sunlight.

Harvesting

1. Cut the lavender stems that have flowers. Do this early in the morning, after the dew has dried but before the heat of the sun draws out too much of the essential oils (you will want those intact to evoke the scent in your home).
2. Dry the lavender in bunches or on screens.
3. Dry and store in a cool, dark place. Some varieties are best for stems and others for flower buds.

Lavender oil is an essential oil obtained by distillation from the flower spikes of certain species of lavender.Lavender oil has recently been implicated in gynecomastia, the abnormal development of breasts in young boys.It may also help to relieve pain from tension headache when breathed in as vapor or diluted and rubbed on the skin.

Hi Joyjoy789

Cuticle oil, this is available at most any chain drug store and also at beauty supply stores. One of the products I like best is made by CND called "Solar Oil." THis is a top quality cuticle oil which contains, among other things, Jojoba oil. This oil is especially helpful for keeping your nails well moisturized because it's molecules are small enough to penetrate the nail plate entirely. But, just about any good quality cuticle oil will work. You can also use straight Jojoba Oil, vegetable oil, almond oil, or even olive oil with pretty much the same results. Also, use a moisturizing hand lotion after each time you wash your hans, or get them wet. And try to wear cotton lined rubber gloves when your hands will be exposed to water and/or liquid household cleaning chemicals for a prolonged period of time. This in itself will help immensely.
For the cuticle oil, simply apply a couple of drops onto the cuticle area on all your nails, and gently massage the oil into your cuticles, and into your naills too. Do this 2-3 times a day - every day. It will take some time before you notice any real differences, about 3 weeks or so. But the secret is to keep using it every day for best results over the long term.

Lavender is one of the most widely used in aromatherapy for its calming, soothing effects. It has good antiseptic and anti-inflammatory and rejuvenating properties. It can also be used to wash floors and clean work surfaces.
