Yes, this could be a sign. However there is a fine line between just feeling low and full blown depression.

Do you know why you are feeling like this?

Like I said, if there seems to be no apparent reason but you just can't help it, you might need to go to the doctor. I would only do it as a last resort though. I think too many people get medicated for depression when there is no medical reason. We all face life difficulties, we all have our moments of "feeling down." Taking pills is not always the answer.

I have never felt down continuously for more than 3 days. But, I do feel really down at times. I get sleepless night or bad dreams at times. Does it mean that I need to see the doctor for treatement? I know that all of you are not experts. Just want some feedback. Thanks

Hear some good music and have a drink. U can either do this alone or sit with a good friend. It really helps.

If you really feel like you need to go to a doctor, then you should go. But I would think that if your depression never lasts more than 3 days, that maybe some exercise or doing something enjoyable would be enought to help you pull out of it.

I don't think being unable to sleep and having occasional bad dreams are something to worry about. For sleeplessness, I would try some natural or homeopathic remedies first, before seeing a doctor. Honey tea or chamomile tea, for example. There is also a homeopathic remedy called Hylands Calms Forte.

Depression is a possibility. But there can be other reasons as well. Any type of change that might have occurred in your life can also cause this. Weather changes, your diet, work and family life are all probable reasons as well. Try to take up an activity that you normally enjoy and/or meditate. If you're still feeling the same or worse, then consult a professional.

Thanks. I cannot sleep if I drink honey tea. Perhaps, the chamomlie tea and the homeopathic remedy.

Hey,

Sorry to hear you're feeling down,
This could be a sign of depression but other members are right in saying you just need new hobbies and stuff
It's so so easy to get down and feeling low during our every day routines, maybe do something you used to love that you haven't done for awhile, or go to a place you loved as a child and hang out there, just surround yourself with things you love and write down all the little things you do think are good about yourself.
If you talk to a doctor they will gladly help you and diagnose you if needs be, hope you feel better soon .
